Avianca launches new Miami–San José service

On July 1, Avianca began its new daily Miami–San José service, using Airbus A320 aircraft that provides more than 8,000 monthly seats for its passengers.

We are always open to the requests and the needs of our customers, and we are proud to be able to innovate in different areas that can bring better service to our passengers. With this new route, we can provide a more direct connection to satisfy the traveling needs of our customers in the US and Costa Rica. We hope they enjoy our service and accompany us in this new endeavor.
Rolando, Damas, Avianca General Director

Andrea Arroyo Mora, Consul General of Costa Rica in Miami, joined Avianca and MIA officials to celebrate the inaugural departure to San José.

With this new route, we are sure that it will give the possibility for tourists from the US and from around the world that haven’t been before to Costa Rica to fall in love with what our country has to offer and for the ones that already know us, give them a new pretext to make a visit with a comfortable flight and easy connections thanks to our friends at Avianca.
Andrea Arroyo Mora, Consul General of Costa Rica in Miami

Avianca began flying from MIA in 1946, making it one of the airport’s longest-serving airlines.

Congratulations to Avianca for adding San José to their network at MIA, which now gives them a total of six nonstop routes from Miami-Dade County. We appreciate Avianca’s steadfast commitment to the Miami market throughout the pandemic, and we look forward to welcoming their new daily passengers from San José.
