Free employee parking in MIA garages starting March 31

To benefit employees working at Miami International Airport during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis, effective Tuesday, March 31, the Miami-Dade Aviation Department (MDAD) will provide free parking in the Dolphin and Flamingo garages to MIA employees. Workers who currently park at remote employee lots and take shuttle buses to MIA can then access the garages closest to the terminal.

Employees were previously charged a discounted daily rate of $5 until MDAD could allocate sufficient parking spaces in the garages for all employees.

Employees must pull a ticket when they enter the parking area and then present that ticket to a cashier when they exit. Only a cashier can provide the free parking, so employees must exit through a staffed exit lane and present their company or airport ID badge to exit for free.

MIA’s employee shuttle bus service will maintain its regular schedule between the employee parking lot and the terminal, for those who continue to need that service.

Visit MIA’s online newsroom at https://news.miami-airport.com or follow MIA on Twitter (@iflymia) for the latest airport information.
