MIA gives thanks for Volunteer Ambassadors

Mayor Daniella Levine Cava joins MIA’s annual Thanksgiving luncheon for dozens of airport volunteers

The Miami-Dade Aviation Department hosted its annual Thanksgiving week luncheon for the Volunteer Ambassadors who donate their time staffing information counters and circulating the terminal at Miami International Airport, providing information and assistance to travelers at the global gateway.

Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, Miami-Dade County Chief Operations Officer Jimmy Morales, and MIA Director and CEO Ralph Cutié took part in the event to thank the volunteers for their service to the airport and to Miami-Dade County.

Dozens of Volunteer Ambassadors who are 16 years old and up dedicate their time assisting MIA visitors during four-hour shifts at least twice a month. For their service, they receive free parking, discounts at the airport and local attractions, and other rewards.
