Inaugural World Travel Expo Miami opens doors

On June 14, the World Travel Expo (WTE) Miami 2023 opened its doors to travel industry leaders from across the globe, with more than 3,000 attendees, exhibitors, and speakers expected for the three-day event at the Miami Airport Convention Center from June 13-15.

We are so proud to announce the first travel trade show taking place in Miami where thousands of travel professionals will convene to expand their networks, hear from travel industry leaders, and enjoy thought-provoking programming. This is a partnership between WTE and Miami-Dade officials to bring together airlines, tourism bureaus, travel agents, and other professionals to learn from influential leaders and experts who will discuss emerging travel trends, challenges, and business opportunities.

WTE President and CEO Javier Perez-Palencia

Following an opening event and welcome remarks by industry officials, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to kick off the Expo. Confirmed programming and panels include an ever-important state of the industry session that will focus on current travel industry trends. Other panels will address industry issues such as diversity, equity, and inclusion; medical tourism, adventure, and expedition; and travel in educational programs, which will consider the various unique traveler demographics as well as the reasons why travelers pick specific destinations. Other relevant programs include the importance of tourism as an engine of economic and social development; an international cruising CEO panel; the evolution of the commercial flying experience: from legacy to low-cost carriers; the hotel industry and sustainability; and the future of travel in a post-pandemic world.
