MIA partner NewsLink Group earns top retailer award
Miami-based airport concessionaire NewsLink®, which operates more than 50 specialty retail, marketplace, convenience, newsstand, and food and beverage locations at Miami International Airport and other domestic airports, was named Best Overall Retailer in the Small Companies Division at the Airport Experience Awards Gala on March 1.
NewsLink was chosen from nominees across North American airports by an awards committee consisting of more than 20 industry executives who judged concessionaires on customer service, presentation, management, and operational execution.
Congratulations to our business partners at NewsLink for earning rave reviews from the travel experts at Airport Experience News for providing our customers the finest, most diverse airport shopping in the country. I’m proud to see a local business such as NewsLink gain national recognition, while our airport continues to grow as one of the most visited in the country. We are building a strong economy by supporting local businesses, and this shows how much our own businesses can grow when they have all the tools to succeed.
The annual Airport Experience® Conference hosts key aviation industry decision-makers and executives. The event features on-trend and educational sessions, an expansive trade show showcasing existing and emerging concepts, and the Airport Experience® Awards recognizing excellence in airport concessions throughout North America. The industry publication Airport Experience News was founded in 1995 as Airport Retail News.
Concession partners like NewsLink play a critical role in the success of our airport, so we are thrilled that they are once again being recognized on the national stage for service excellence. We are proud to continue providing award-winning amenities to our global visitors at the gateway to Miami-Dade County.
NewsLink® is a home-grown, Miami-based business that operates concession locations at MIA as well as at Tampa, Boston-Logan, Nashville, and Dallas/Fort Worth International airports.
