November 2021 Employees of the Month: Janitorial crew cleans more than just bathrooms
Last month, a male passenger was feeling ill in the restroom near gate D26 and was unable to make it to the disabled stall in time before collapsing. Lazaro Herrera, a janitorial custodian with C&W Services, heard him yelling for help and ran into the restroom to assist him. Lazaro found the passenger on the floor, who had soiled himself and was unable to get up.
Lazaro, together with Magaly Hernandez, another C&W Services custodian, helped to clean up the passenger, get him into an adult diaper, and then clean the stall.

What Magaly and Lazaro did was above and beyond the call of duty. The compassion and care they provided to this passenger were what most family members would have done. These employees are true assets to the airport and the traveling public in general.
