Breastfeeding while traveling? We have you covered!

This National Breastfeeding Month, Miami International Airport is reminding our traveling moms that if you’re looking for a quiet, isolated place to nurse or pump, we’ve got you covered!

While nursing moms are free to nurse and pump anywhere at MIA, these suites were designed with their needs in mind. MIA’s MIAmamas (pronounced “mia mamas”) nursing suites - located in each of our concourses - are self-contained units equipped with two comfortable benches, a fold-down table, an electrical outlet for plugging in a breast pump, and a door that can be locked for privacy. The 4-foot-by-8-foot suites are spacious enough to fit you and your luggage, other children, or even your travel companion. The interior surfaces of the nursing suites are made of food-service-grade Fiberglass and Corian®, and are deep-cleaned daily with an EPA-certified sanitizing agent.

The newest addition to the MIAmamas program is an ADA- compliant 13-foot-by-7-foot nursing room that opened this month, just past the Concourse J security checkpoint.

Passengers can locate the MIAmamas suites with our online map or via our free mobile app, MIA Airport Official.
