LATAM Airlines hosts grand reopening ceremony for renovated VIP Lounge at MIA

(MIAMI, January 21, 2020) – LATAM Airlines and Miami-Dade County officials hosted a grand reopening ceremony on January 16 to celebrate the airline’s newly renovated VIP Lounge at Miami International Airport – the only one of its kind in North America. After speeches and a ribbon-cutting ceremony, attendees received samples from the lounge’s dining menu and toured the facility.

The upgraded 10,000-square-foot facility, located in MIA’s South Terminal near Gate J6, includes new contemporary furniture designed in the airline’s signature colors, renovated dining areas, restrooms and showers, and an expanded seating area with bird’s-eye views of MIA’s airfield.

We applaud the investment by LATAM Airlines to upgrade its only VIP Lounge location in North America,” said Lester Sola, MIA Director and CEO. “As one of our largest airline groups, LATAM will now provide an even more appealing lounge experience for the millions of passengers it serves annually at MIA.”

LATAM VIP Lounge access is available to business class passengers flying LATAM Airlines and Oneworld Alliance partner airlines, as well as first-class passengers flying Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Swiss Air, Air France, Caribbean Air and El Al first-class passengers. Priority Pass member access is subject to availability.

“The investment into this new VIP lounge is a testament to LATAM Airlines’ continued commitment to providing its passengers with best-in-class services and amenities wherever they may be in the world,” said Paola Peñarete, LATAM Airlines Vice President, overseeing North America, Mexico, the Caribbean and Asia. “We want our passengers to experience an unparalleled service, not only once they are onboard, but from the very beginning to the end of their journey with LATAM.”
