MIA to host World Travel Expo Miami in May 2022

Over 2,000 global travel professionals expected to gather and promote destinations

With the goal of increasing tourism to their respective destinations, more than 2,000 travel industry representatives are expected to attend the World Travel Expo Miami, scheduled for May 3-5, 2022, at the Miami Airport Convention Center. The event will give international airports the opportunity to meet with airlines, tourism bureaus, tour operators, cruise lines, hotels, and other industry organizations, to discuss potential future air service routes.

The three-day event, hosted by the Miami-Dade Aviation Department in partnership with Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners Chairman José “Pepe” Díaz, and the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau, will provide attendees the opportunity to network and negotiate with thousands of attendees, exhibiting companies and consumers.

In addition to raising awareness about the diverse travel benefits that Miami International Airport and Miami-Dade County have to offer, the World Travel Expo will also assist our industry partners and network destinations with promoting the ongoing return of visitors to their sectors. The Miami travel market continues to see impressive passenger growth this year, with MIA now serving more international travelers than any other U.S. airport, and we hope to spur additional growth by hosting networking events like this.
Ralph Cutié, MIA Interim Director
Industry professionals from our sister destinations across the globe are invited to join us in this collaborative effort to bring leisure and business travel back to the levels we enjoyed pre-pandemic. We are planning a robust schedule of educational workshops and industry experts that will be announced in the coming months.
